This lovely set includes two beautiful antique spiritual novels written by pioneering American author Elizabeth Stuart Phelps. Both books are bound in similar decorative cloth with gilt detail. These classics explore comforting visions of the afterlife and were widely embraced in post-Civil War America.
Overall fair to good condition for their age:
• Cover: marks/fading & wear/fraying at edges and corners
• Spine: wear at ends
• Pages: overall good condition with some age marks, folded corners and may have a few small tears
• Edges: age marks & darkening
• Measures approximately 7.25” x 4.75” each
